Tsubaki-chou lonely planet is a shoujo romance manga that began serialization in 2015 and only recently ended in 2019. It's my outright favorite romance manga, and I'm here to rave about it for a little longer than necessary.
The Relaxing World of Tanaka-Kun is Always Listless
It’s hard to see exactly why slice of life, a genre that is merely a series of realistic events without a significant “plot”, seems to be appealing to so many. Anime viewers, including myself, spend countless hours watching japanese highschool girls going camping, playing in a school band, or running cafes in a pseudo-french, rabbit … Continue reading The Relaxing World of Tanaka-Kun is Always Listless

How to Drastically Improve Your Show in Season 2 (feat. Gotoubun no Hanayome)
Season 1 of Go Toubun no Hanayome was one of the worst things I’ve seen in my life. When the anime was announced, there were a lot of doubts whether the animations can match the beautiful artwork of the manga. When the key animations were released, there were doubts whether the artwork would work out. … Continue reading How to Drastically Improve Your Show in Season 2 (feat. Gotoubun no Hanayome)
A Good Isekai Show?? (What Makes Shows Interesting)
Many seem to dismiss isekai shows whenever they see one on the seasonal list. It’s no different with me as well. There have been too many isekai shows that I dropped almost immediately or didn’t even attempt because, simply, it was an isekai. As I kept watching these shows and ended up not enjoying them, … Continue reading A Good Isekai Show?? (What Makes Shows Interesting)
Flurry of Isekai Shows this Season
Last summer, out of complete boredom, I took time to read basically most of the isekai manga out there. There were some good ones, Slime or Youjo Senki to name a few, but a lot of horrible ones as well. And to my surprise, this season featured a flurry of isekai shows, all from manga … Continue reading Flurry of Isekai Shows this Season
Yuru Camp△ S2 is Filled with Relaxing!
I got to finally watch the first couple episodes of Yuru Camp season two and I found myself more or else enjoying it as much as its first season. As most who watched this show knows, this show relies on some fundamental slice of life elements: comedy, relaxing atmosphere, and cuteness. In its first season, … Continue reading Yuru Camp△ S2 is Filled with Relaxing!
Mob Psycho’s Perfect Recap Episode
Recap episodes have a pretty bad reputation around them. Usually, it makes sense why they do. Most studios have recap episodes to take a week break to catch back up to the animation schedule again. They use previously aired episodes, stitching together different scenes, to make some product to hold on to the viewers in … Continue reading Mob Psycho’s Perfect Recap Episode
The Goods and Bads of Urasekai Picnic
So we watched the first episode of Urasekai Picnic, and to my surprise, it was actually pretty good! There were some clear parts with CG that were definitely hard to look past which we’ll talk about later, but I think the plot and world building that we got to see in this episode got me … Continue reading The Goods and Bads of Urasekai Picnic
The Ultimate Pupa Review
Despite the show being pretty gorey, I’ve gone out of my way to take screenshots that don’t show any excessive gore! I know, I’m the best. Pupa is a TV short anime that aired in the Winter of 2014. It’s about two siblings and was somewhat infamous at the time it aired for being a pretty bad, gorey show. There’s many ways to review an anime, and in this post, for once I’ll be taking a very methodic approach where I look at various ‘elements’ of the show.
